Team Frankfurt conquers Herzberg

By the way, the name Herzberg has nothing to do with "heart" but rather with "deer." As often happens in the German language, the name evolved over time from Hirschberg to Hirzberg and finally to Herzberg. Unfortunately, the colleagues from Frankfurt didn’t spot any deer, but while hiking through the forest, they enjoyed fantastic views of the Frankfurt skyline.

Many, many steps later, they finally reached their destination. The reward consisted of Äppelwoi (apple wine) served in a Bembel (a traditional jug for apple wine), and, of course, drunk from a Geripptes (the typical Hessian apple wine glass). There was also Handkäs mit Musik. If you're not sure what that is, don’t worry – some of the less seasoned Hessians in the team didn’t know either. This Hessian cheese specialty is served with plenty of onions and caraway seeds. With so many onions, it's easy to guess what the "music" is about.

Well-fed and enriched with quite a bit of knowledge about Hessian food and drink culture, Team Frankfurt then leisurely rolled back down the Herzberg.
