Case Study
Manor AG

Do you want the Promote the health and motivation of employees?

Manor AG is Switzerland’s largest department store chain, headquartered in Basel and operating since 1902. It’s where tradition meets innovation, as change remains a constant. With change come challenges – challenges that require healthy and motivated employees. As part of a major health campaign, several training programmes are being developed, including one designed to help managers create a motivating environment for themselves and their teams.

The starting position

This training placed particular emphasis on engaging managers from all areas – including purchasing, supermarkets, restaurants, logistics and more. Alongside the varied design of the learning elements, it was essential to maintain a strong connection to Manor throughout.

The approach

Image selection played a key role in this training. Visuals from all areas of Manor were integrated, combining custom-designed backgrounds, stock images and internal company photos. A variety of interactive elements were used to keep the content engaging and dynamic. Familiar Manor-specific features – easily recognisable to all employees – were incorporated to strengthen identification and connection with the training.

Certify successes

A video introduces the topic, while a notes function allows learners to record their thoughts directly within the training. A hidden object scene and a listening task complete the picture and contribute to an interactive learning experience.

To strengthen learners’ identification with Manor, familiar elements are integrated throughout the training alongside real images — such as the company logo, a campaign poster, or a typical Manor whiteboard with sticky notes.

Have a look at the Individual leadership training

An introductory video guides learners into the topic by presenting a realistic, everyday scenario faced by a manager. At the end of the training, a concluding video offers a suitable approach to resolving the situation.

Individually scribbled backgrounds make it possible to depict the different looking areas of Manor and to realize the idea behind them.

A note function allows learners to write down their own thoughts after each topic directly during training and print them out at the end.

The elements identified as typical for Manor during the kickoff – such as a whiteboard with sticky notes – were integrated at various points throughout the training.

Variety is key: Interactive elements such as a hidden object image with clickable areas make the training engaging and encourage active participation. Subtle internal details within the image strengthen learners’ identification with Manor.
